Kanapaha Middle School and Virtual Enterprises International

As a CTE teacher in Alachua County Public Schools (August 2023 to May 2024), I built and taught financial and technological literacy courses for students in grades 6-8.

The courses

  • Computer Applications in Business: students used business software while learning financial concepts.
  • Information and Communication Technology: practical digital skills for school and work.

I wove financial ideas into both courses, so students learned to use technology well and to make informed money decisions. I built a respectful, participatory classroom through consistent management routines.

Virtual Enterprises International

I partnered with Virtual Enterprises International (VEI), a nonprofit that works with schools on business-simulation curriculum, to strengthen what my students did in class.

Add specifics: what students built or simulated, a project example, results, and what you'd bring to a high school business class.
